Construction Is Underway at Victori Village (Fall 2026 Update)

For years, Victori Village has been a vision: a safe place where girls ages 13–21 who have survived sex and human trafficking can find stability, healing, and a new future. Today, construction is underway, and God has been faithful at every step.
Victori Village is Destiny's Calling's future residential campus, being built on 12 acres in York County, South Carolina. When complete, it will include three Girls Homes for our long-term recovery program, a chapel, an event pavilion, and transitional microhomes where graduates can keep building independent lives.
Right now, crews are preparing the land and putting in the infrastructure the homes will stand on. The homes themselves are still ahead of us, but this groundwork is what makes them possible.
Look What You've Done Since March
When we broke ground in March, we trusted God to provide, and He has, through you. Your gifts, your shopping at our ReSale store, and your support at our Spring Fashion Show have carried this project to 85% complete.
Thank you for believing in this vision. As crews began work, they uncovered far more granite on the property than expected, and removing it substantially increased the cost of the infrastructure. We need $150,000 to complete it. Together, we can finish what God started on this land.
What Does "Infrastructure" Mean?
Infrastructure is all the work needed to prepare the property so the future homes and buildings can function safely for years to come. It's much more than roads. It includes shaping the land, managing stormwater, installing water and sewer systems, removing the natural rock on the property, and putting essential utilities in place.
Much of this work happens underground or around the future building sites. You won't always see it, but everything that comes next depends on it.
What's Happening at Victori Village Right Now
- Site preparation: clearing designated trees, moving and adding dirt, and bringing the property to the required elevations.
- Environmental controls: installing silt fencing and retention areas to manage stormwater runoff.
- Rock removal: removing significant amounts of granite so structures and underground utilities can be installed.
- Storm drainage: installing culverts, drainage pipes, and retention areas.
- Water and sewer: installing underground lines, connecting to existing systems, building the sewer pump station, and connecting the three Phase 1 Girls Homes.
- Retaining walls: supporting the areas around the future Girls Homes.
- Roads and curbs: preparing road bases and installing curbs. Final asphalt will go down after the Phase 1 Girls Homes are finished.
- Future utilities: installing sleeves for future electrical connections, including the planned entrance gates.
- Ground stabilization: grassing areas where soil has been moved or added.
The Experience Behind the Build
A project this size takes more than a vision. It takes experience, planning, and people who know how to turn plans on paper into a working community.
That's where Roy Gaddey comes in. Roy is Diana Lynn's husband and a member of the Destiny's Calling Board of Directors. He spent a decade as Managing Partner of Prestwick Development, where he oversaw every aspect of developing two residential golf communities: Prestwick Village Golf Club in Highland, Michigan, and Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Florida. His work covered design, development, construction, and sales.
Today, Roy brings that experience to the many development and construction decisions at Victori Village. Creating a place of healing takes compassion and faith. It also takes engineering, planning, and countless practical decisions, and that's where experience matters.

One Step at a Time
It's easy to look at construction photos and notice what isn't there yet. There are no finished homes, no completed roads, and no residents moving in.
That doesn't mean nothing is happening. Every pipe laid, every ton of granite removed, and every road base prepared brings Victori Village closer to becoming the safe, secure campus God has placed on our hearts.
Help Us Keep Building
Every gift keeps the equipment moving and brings us closer to the day the first girls walk through the doors.
This truly takes a village. Donors, volunteers, churches, businesses, and our ReSale store all play a part. Our ReSale store in Clover, and now our new booths at The Shoppes at River's Edge in Rock Hill and Catawba River Antique Mall, turn every purchase into support for this work.
Thank you to everyone who is part of this: through your gifts, your volunteer hours, your shopping, your prayers, and sharing our mission. We give God all the glory for what He is doing on this land, and we invite you to keep building with us.
