Try It His Way

Dear Women Who Love God,

As I opened up to write this email, immediately Numbers 24 came to my mind.  I sense the Lord prompting me to pray this blessing over your lives, so here it is:

Numbers 6:24 NIV

24:  The Lord bless you and keep you;

25:  the Lord make His face shine upon you

26:  the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.

What a beautiful image of life and God’s love for us.

24:  God is keeping us…..you may feel hopeless, However, God is sustaining you, keeping you.  You may feel like giving up, but you haven’t and the whole purpose for Him to send you this message is to encourage you…..He is saying; “I’ve Got You!!!”  “I am not going to let anything happen to you”

25:  His face is shining upon us.  Can you imagine that the Lord is radiating, smiling over us.  How can we lose when God is on our side?

26:  God is aware of every thing that concerns us….every “little” detail.  Remember He counted the hairs on your head!!!  Even right now as you read this GOD has turned towards YOU.  He has a gift for you, it’s the gift of peace.  Will you take it, or turn away and continue to carry the burden yourself.  There’s nothing wrong with relying on God.  It doesn’t mean you can’t handle it yourself.  It means that you are humble enough to look at God and say, you take this.

1 Peter 5:6  “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.”  Letting God have your cares and your trials is humbling yourself.  Holding on to your worries is being prideful.  It’s like saying to God, “I’ve got this, I don’t need help from anyone”  “I can do this”  It’s like a child when they are having trouble doing something and they look at you adamantly and tell you to leave them alone, they have it under control.  Don’t we as adults lift our hands in the air and say “alright, I’ll let you do it yourself.”  When in all reality, they can’t.  That’s the same for us, we can’t, we need God and we need Him every day.  You’ve tried it your way…..what about giving it ALL to Him today and see what happens…..Try it, You might like it!!!  In the end when the child CAN’T do it, they finally allow you to help.  Why not give in to God and humble yourself and allow God to step in and help.  You’ve tried it your way, now try it His.
