Greetings Everyone,
This is the day that the Lord has made, and I WILL CHOOSE TO rejoice in it!!!
Yes, it’s our choice to rejoice!!! It’s our choice to look at the glass as half empty or half full. It’s a choice that we may have to consciously make. And in some cases, depending on our personal life, we have to make that choice daily.
Last Monday, Shawn-Ta spoke about a tough experience that she walked through a couple of years ago. As God was speaking to her through the devotions that she was reading each day, He gave her four points:
- Stand still.
- Trust me to keep you safe.
- I will pull you up out of this in an instance.
- Refuse to play the victim role.
The one statement the Lord gave her that I want to repeat is this….“Refuse to play the victim role.”
Please Do Not misunderstand me, there are or can be times in our lives where the glass truly IS half empty. Legitimately, there are times when things are working against us, and “stuff” is happening that we don’t deserve.
However, our attitude can be the very thing that can/may/will help us navigate through the situation. Many times, looking at any situation from a different perspective can be the very thing that helps us gain the peace that we need to see our situation in a different light. And most often, what we need most is to see our situation from God’s point of view.
Playing the victim role has the potential to keep us trapped in a negative cycle. A cycle that doesn’t allow us to rise above our situation and see the glass from God’s vantage point.
So, today, this IS the day that the Lord has made, and I WILL CHOOSE to rejoice in it!!! How about you?
If there is something that we can pray for you, would you please hit reply and let us know so we can lift you up.
We hope that you will join us tomorrow for our call.
Looking forward to “Seeing” you tomorrow!
Big, Big Hugs!!!
