Dear Believers,
More Than Ever we need revival. We need change. In 2017, the theme of our ladies retreat was: “Finding Your Voice.” That theme has continued to speak to us for the past two and a half years and now, More Than Ever, we need to find our voice and speak up and speak out. We, as Christians must stand together against racism and division. We are to be the difference makers. We are warriors, fighting for the equality of our brothers and sisters. We are the voice that George Floyd no longer has. Proverbs 31:8-9 says: “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves”. “Defend”. In 2017 Holy Spirit said this is who we (DCM) are called to…to those who can’t speak for themselves, and called to be; a voice to the voiceless!!!
Our prayer focus for months has been 2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” We need to pray that prayer More Than Ever.
We have been called to intercede on behalf of our brothers and sisters. It is time we answer the clarion call and turn from the busyness and distractions of life and pray. God has us on lockdown for a very specific reason and maybe that reason is to pray that our land be healed. Maybe if we were praying George Floyd would still be alive.
Tomorrow is Pentecost Sunday. Would you pray about joining us for a time of prayer, reflection, and worship? Rebecca Chase will be joining us and taking us into a time of worship. We pray that you will join us. We are passionate about being in the Upper Room together, tomorrow evening, and being in UNITY for change. We are believing that as we come together, this Pentecost will ignite something inside each of us that will give us the boldness, the courage, and the confidence to find our voice and stand up. That we will fulfill the call of God on our lives, and that we will proclaim Jesus as Lord of Lords!!! On the first Pentecost 3,000 were added to the church. That’s what we call REVIVAL!!! Let’s Do It Again Lord!!!
